Amish Friendship Bread

A little over a week ago my friend Diane gave me a zip-lock baggie filled with batter and a whole page of directions. I am sure the look on my face was like, "what the he## are you making me do. Anyways, she explained that after following the 10 day process I was sure to taste the best bread ever. It seemed a little like too much work, but the name of the bread is Amish Friendship bread, so I felt like it was my duty as a friend to complete the task. Finally, Tuesday night Aubrey and I completed day 10 and it was worth it. I wish I would have taken a picture of my kitchen that night because we had flower, sugar, and cinnamon everywhere. Shawn walked in at one time, saw the mess and walked back into the living room. Of course he had no problem walking back in for a second piece of bread.

Before baking the bread you separate the batter into four new baggies to pass on to four friends. Here I am giving the starter bag back to Diane. lol

Thank you Diane!
